Telecommunications Infrastructure Protection

Challenge:

Installation of new VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detecting Apperatis) F/A System over active DC battery plant and buss bars. Need to provide non conductive/ static free fire rated protection to create working platform to attach VESDA/Straps above while sustaining access for plant maintenance and testing for Verizon Power on- site work force.

Solution:

Wrap buss bars with rubber blankets and install vertical uprights cross members supporting fire rated plywood deck.

Result:

To keep clearance for hydrometers and other testing devices for battery plant maintenance as not to prevent access by Verizon on-site work force/ power engineers.
